Great cottage in the middle of the forest. Perfect spot to spend a few nights with friends and explore the Ivalo and Inari area. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the living room is cozy and the bedrooms are comfortable. Bed linen and towels are provided. We had an issue with the sauna and the host was very responsive and made her best to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Highly recommend!

Arrival late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the owner still be there to waiting for us until late night in the winter! Super friendly owner and very beautiful and new cottage! The most important - We saw northern light just from the cottage! Everything is excellent! Thank you ❤

What a great and cozy place to stay! We just loved everything about it! The location: easy to reach by rental car from Ivalo, yet totally surrounded by forest with a stunning lake view through large panoramic windows facing West. The interior: the welcoming atmosphere with christmas/winter decoration, very comfortable beds, the sauna and rain showers, the fully and stylishly equipped kitchen, the exterior with snow shoes and fat bikes for free use, and last but definitely not least: the very helpful and prompt communication with Jarkko & Hannika. We spent nearly a week in freezing winter wonderland with Northern Lights and the most beautiful weather. What a great start of 2024! This place is definitely a 11/10.

We had an exceptional week in Norlight Cottages Ivalo. The hosts were great and did everything they could to make our stay as easy, pleasant and convenient as possible. The cottage is brand-new, extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with everything needed (and more!) to enjoy a great, relaxing stay. Special mention to the two saunas (indoor and outdoor) and to the hot tube with an amazing view on the lake! The location and surroundings are also exceptional, in the heart of a peaceful nature. We also took advantage of some other rental services from the cottage (the car and the snowmobile) and, once again, everything was made to make it as easy and pleasant as possible by the hosts. Without any hesitation, I'd warmly recommend Norlight Cottages to anyone who wants to make the most of a holiday in Finnish Lapland!

Abosultely beautiful views from the house. The host was extremely flexible with our arrival and departure times. He assisted us with planning some excursions while we were in Ivalo. Very easy to contact! Would 100% stay there again!

Estuvimos alojadas 3 noches y todo fue genial. La cocina es un poco pequeña, pero para 2 personas es suficiente. La casa está situada en un entorno privilegiado, prácticamente en plena naturaleza y Petteri es un anfitrión 10, amable y detallista. Cuando llegamos nos recogió del aeropuerto y por un extra nos acercó al supermercado. Cuando llegamos a la casa, nos había dejado un desayuno gratis (huevos, cherry, bacon, yogur...) y nos dejó unos trozos de reno para probarlo, que además estaba muy bueno (nos pareció un gran detalle). Además en la casa había sal, café, algo de pasta, etc. Otras cosas tenías que pagarlas. Cogimos con él la experiencia de la cena y nos gustó mucho. El sitio era muy acogedor y la cena agradable mientras nos contaba cosas acerca de Finlandia, Laponia, la cultura sami, etc. Otro día, salió a hacer camino con la moto de nieve y nos avisó por si queríamos salir con él (gratis). Además, por un precio económico pudimos conducir la moto, aunque se me hizo corto. Además de esto, nos ayudó en todo (a contratar excursiones, explicándonos cómo llegar a Ivalo andado, estaba pendiente para que pudiéramos ver auroras boreales, etc). Sin duda, lo que más me gustó es el trato que tiene con los huéspedes, lejos del turismo masivo y que tiene todo muy cuidado (estaba atento de quitarnos la nieve del jardín, etc). Estuvo súper pendiente de las distintas apps para que pudiéramos ver auroras (finalmente pudimos verlas justo al lado de casa gracias a sus consejos, una autentica gozada) y fue muy honesto con este tema, ya que podría habernos vendido la excursión con él y sin embargo, estaba con el móvil pendiente y en cuanto pudimos ver una, nos acompañó al bosque para decirnos dónde podíamos verla sin coste alguno (y nos sacó un par de fotos increíbles). Sin duda, recomiendo 100% este alojamiento por todas las posibilidades que ofrece.
